Frequently asked questions

Find guidance on choosing tools and fasteners, understanding nail and staple dimensions, and identifying meite replacement parts. If you cannot confirm a specification, check the product page or manual and gather your tool's details before buying.

Choosing and buying

If you can't find your answer, contact us.

How do I know which nails or staples my tool uses?

Check your tool's manual or label: it lists the fastener family and the sizes the tool accepts. Then compare the full dimensions on the product page: overall length and diameter for nails; crown width, length, and gauge for staples. Compare length, diameter, and crown width in millimeters. For gauge, refer to the designation in the manual.

Why compare the full dimensions rather than just the length?

Two fasteners of the same length may have different diameters, crown widths, gauges, collation types, or angles. If any of these do not match what your tool accepts, the fastener may not load or work properly.

How do I identify a meite replacement part?

Write down the model and version shown on your tool's nameplate or label and, if you have the manual, the part number from the exploded-view diagram. If any details are missing, use the contact form to describe the part you need.

What if I don’t know the part number?

Contact us with your tool’s model and version and describe the part. If you have the part number, include it to help us identify it.

How many pieces are in each package?

The piece count and package contents are shown on each product page when available. If they are not shown, ask us before buying.

How do I get in touch?

Use the form on the contact page. If your question is about sizes or replacement parts, include your tool's model and version, along with a description of what you need.
